Roasting as advertising ploy

Here’s an idea I wouldn’t have thought of - sharing a video of someone mercilessly criticizing your product can actually be very good advertising.

Make a video where you give your product to a guy on a street. The guy is mean. He lists everything that could be wrong with your product. You respond to his objections - by doing that, you are answering questions that might be stopping people from buying your product. The guy is like FAQ on your website, except not boring because he is arrogant and there is tension. You get to explain your product in detail and people are listening. And people don’t like mean guys. They sympathize with you… and your product.
