Curious notetaker

People reveal their true interests by what they do when they are busy and should be doing something else.

Turns out my true interest is curious exploration. I encounter a fascinating idea when I give myself a 10-minute break and those 10 minutes turn into 7 hours.

And I’m starting to become forgetful - I often vaguely remember some interesting idea, but can’t recall the details and can’t remember where I originally came across it.

So I’m going to write it down. And why not keep these notes online? Maybe someone interested in similar things will find it useful.

What’s it gonna be about? I’ll borrow the answer from my favorite discussion forum, Hacker News - ‘about anything that satisfies intellectual curiosity’.

Mostly it will be micro-notes when an idea catches my eye. Occasionally, I might find the time for a larger summary when I need to study a topic more in-depth.

What won’t be here: news and current affairs. And if there is anything like that, it will only be in case it somehow changes my mental model of how the world works.
